| 英文描述 | This is an autosomal recessive disease characterized by partial oculocutaneous albinism, bleeding tendencies, and enlarged granules in many cell types. Seen primarily in Persian cats with yellow eyes and 'bluesmoke' hair color. Bilateral cataracts have also been reported. Increased susceptibility to infection is reported in other species. Affected cats have a tendency to bleed after minor surgery and form hematomas at puncture sites. Dx is by signs, characteristic host, enlarged melanin granules in hair shafts, and blood smear to observe granules in neutrophils. Neutropenia is common. |
